The practice is fully insured and our technicians are happy to work alongside the veterinary profession in order to give the best possible service to our equine patients and their owners.

All of our technicians reguarly attend courses, workshops, and conferences to keep up with new developments in the field of equine dentistry.

Meet our Team of Equine Dental Technicians

Toby Lee BAEDT

Director, Equine Dental Services
Toby Lee, Horse Dentist

Toby has been brought up around horses all his life. Having started at his parents riding school ‘Mendip Riding Centre’, he rode at various levels from pony club, British pony teams, British juniors, and British young riders through to 3* three day events having represented his country at prestigious events such as 2* Saumur France, 2* Punchestown Ireland and 3* Boekelo Netherlands. He gave up his eventing career to focus on his dentistry but still tries to make time to have the occasional days hunting when time allows.

He has been practicing equine dentistry for the last 16 years. Over the years he has gained a great understanding of the problems that can occur in a horse’s mouth, often hindering health and peak performance.

Toby has previously passed the rigorous BEVA/BVDA Equine Dental Exam and is a member of the British Association of Equine Dental Technicians (BAEDT). He works closely with all his client’s vets, believing that a good working relationship with the veterinary profession is vital to the success of good equine dentistry.

Toby lectures at Hartpury College on the BSc (hons) Equine Dental Science and Fd.Sc Equine Dental Studies (SW). He also lectures internationally.

Toby is married to Lena Lee, who is a qualified Master Saddler. They have two little girls Izzy and Nelly Lee.

Henry Billson

Director, Equine Dental Services
Henry Billson, Horse Dentist

Henry has ridden and been around horses since childhood and spent much of his time hunting and pony clubbing on the Quantocks. He was also lucky enough to event and compete in JRN's before going to the Royal Agricultural College and obtain a degree in agriculture and Business Studies.

Having always known he wanted to pursue a career with horses and after seeing some dentistry performed it sparked an interest. Before long he had been accepted into the American School of Equine Dentistry.

After returning from America in 1999 he started an apprenticeship with Toby Lee and by 2005 had acquired the skills and experience necessary to pass the widely recognised and rigorous BEVA / BVDA dental exam.

Since then he has been involved as a lecturer on the Equine Dental Degree at Hartbury College and Equine Dental Services have been providing placements for the dental students.

Outside of work Henry likes to spend time with his wife and children and horses at home and still manages to hunt through the winter months when time allows!
